Join us in St. Croix for a one-of-a-kind retreat.  Whether you have health issues, undiagnosed symptoms or just want to age well - this retreat is for you.  Flourish Health has once again reserved the Feather Leaf Inn, a boutique eco-resort with just 8 suites located on the stunning shores of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, as the venue for this exclusive health retreat, ensuring an exclusive experience. Be sure to watch Stacey's video for additional details and how a retreat like this can greatly benefit your health!

We will spend the week combining educational time on how various inputs affect your cell resiliency and health, with tools to improve and increase those inputs, as well as time to see the island and participate in various optional all-inclusive excursions.  We will begin each day with intention while practicing “The Miracle Morning” and end each day with informal chats over dinner and/or poolside.

You will begin the experience well ahead of arriving on the island by completing your comprehensive case review, running labs, and consulting with Dr. Luetmer via phone or Zoom to prepare for your one-on-one time on St. Croix. The retreat will conclude with a follow-up once you are back home to ensure you have a plan to sustain the gains you made on the island.

This is a great opportunity to experience a physician-led health-transforming retreat that provides individualized guidance for your unique health journey.

We know that the health advice out there is confusing and often contradictory.  In addition, many give protocols based on a single or few factors alone, which can be more harmful than helpful.

We will take this opportunity to individualize your recommendations to optimize your health and teach you techniques and tools that can transform how you feel and how you age.

This was an amazing week & experience. Dr. Stacey has so much knowledge & conveyed it in ways easy to grasp. Ron is the best tour guide ever, because he is so excited to share the local sites. Thank You both so much.

Obviously the setting is beautiful- it allows relaxation and focus away from the stresses of daily life. Ron did a great job with scheduling daily excursions and staying on schedule to the extent possible, adjusting on the fly when not.

This was a perfect place to be oriented into my health journey. The amount and level of information presented was just right and having the opportunity to get out in the afternoon to do an activity was perfect for me. It was just enough education and activity so I could process the information without becoming overwhelmed. I was a little apprehensive about committing to a group of strangers to be in close quarters for a whole week. This was probably the best surprise. I am leaving with new friends and companions to walk with on this new path. I look forward to reuniting at some time.

The Venue

The Feather Leaf Inn is a very special place run by very special people: Ryan and Corina. Stacey and Ron had both met with Ryan and Corina to plan our first retreat, and beyond the amazing physical grounds and rooms, what sold us on The Feather Leaf, were the values of "The Stewards" (as they call themselves) of this property. Ryan and Corina are salt of the earth. Their dream has been to incorporate their passion for sustainable living, plant-based cooking, history and the Caribbean ecology into a breathtaking, soul-recharging retreat for people to enjoy.  They run amazing coral restoration projects and have restored this magnificent historic venue, (an estate built in 1760), with meticulous attention to detail using "green" materials. There are the typical Caribbean resorts on this island- built in the '80s and '90's... overpriced and badly beaten from past hurricanes.... The Feather Leaf is not that. You will be stepping into history when you arrive on this property...if your preference is for newly fabricated cheaply built chain hotels, then The Feather Leaf is not for you- if you value old world craftsmanship, then you will love it. Meet Ron, Your Excursion Coordinator/Travel Agent

Hi, I'm Ron, primarily known among Stacey's patients as simply "Stacey's Husband". I spent several months on St. Croix in 2023 with my then 18 year old daughter, Kenna, as she pursued her dream of becoming a SCUBA professional and is now the youngest Divemaster on the island. In the meantime, I fell in love with this island. The people, the history, and the beauty. I will visit with each of you ahead of the retreat to learn what you love the most and curate your on-island adventures that pair with your passions. I can also help you obtain the best value air transportation to St. Croix.

Some of you will simply want to take in every minute of the oasis that is the Feather Leaf Inn. Others will want to explore the island; from Christiansted, the old historic hometown of Alexander Hamilton, to the scores of beautiful hidden beaches. For the more adventurous, there are some great hikes to remote tide pools, trails through the rain forest on the West End and desert hikes among the cactus on the East End, as well as world-class snorkeling and SCUBA diving. Also included is a pre-dawn bioluminescent kayaking adventure. For anyone interested in getting SCUBA certified, I can help you get your classroom learning done online ahead of the retreat and I can line up your open water certification with my friends at Sweet Bottom Dive Center.

How is the Flourish Retreat Unique from other "Wellness Retreats"?

You will have direct access to an MD who is trained in both Western Medicine (Dr. Luetmer is Board Certified in Family Practice) as well as Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine before the retreat, during the entire time on the island, and after the retreat.  Please click here for a full list of Dr. Luetmer's credentials. You will also have an opportunity to obtain lab work prior to the retreat that Dr. Luetmer will review with you ahead of time. We will have you provide goals and topics you want covered during the retreat and Dr. Luetmer will work to weave these topics into the content of the retreat.

Compared to other wellness retreats that cater to large groups and spread any contact with MDs pretty thin, Flourish Retreats are small and individualized.  Retreats like Pritikin in Miami and Canyon Ranch in Tucson (while certainly beneficial) advertise weekly rates around $8,000 - but that rate tends to be limited to the 2 or 3 hottest weeks in July. In the winter months, these rates jump to $15,000+ and these retreats tend to be primarily led by health coaches, not medical doctors. With Flourish, you will be working one-on-one and in a small group with a highly experienced physician to optimize your health and wellness.

Each day, savor three organic, vegan, plant-based gourmet meals prepared by Feather Leaf's chef:
  • A Full Breakfast; fresh exotic, local fruits; coffee & tea; fresh squeezed juices and smoothies; and baked goods.
  • A Tropical lunch all prepared from fresh local produce.
  • A Two Course dinner each evening with dessert.
Dr. Luetmer will continue leading discussion and education over meals; or if you prefer some solitude, you can take your meal on one of the verandas.

Getting to St. Croix

For the best value on flights and best overall experience, talk to me (Ron) first! There are multiple options for getting here, and you may want to consider some unconventional routes depending on your flexibility and desire to add days either before or after the retreat. For example, here are some options:
  • American Airlines has many flights directly into St. Croix. They are currently running a promotion where, if you sign up for the American Airlines credit card, pay the ($95 annual fee), you get 75,000 AA frequent flier miles. There are Minneapolis to St. Croix round trips available for as low as 30,000 miles so you basically get the flight here for a hundred bucks and still have 45,000 frequent flier miles to fly back here again in the future (because you are going to fall in love with St. Croix). We signed up for the card ourselves and got both of our flights for the cost of the annual fee (we subscribed to 2 cards). Sure, it is a bit of a hassle, but if you watch your pennies like we do, it is well worth it!
  • Sun Country has non-stop flights from Minneapolis to St. Thomas (another US territory - so no passports required) - there are ferries between St. Thomas and St. Croix as well as fun float plane service- so you may want to extend your vacation to explore St. Thomas and St. John, then ferry or fly over to St. Croix for the retreat.
  • There are pretty cheap flights from Miami and Orlando to St. Croix- so if you have friends or family in Florida, you could get cheap flights to those cities, visit your friends, then catch a flight over to St. Croix from FL.
Being a little creative can extend your experience and save some money!
