Welcome to the 2023 New Year's Detox

All are Welcome to Participate!
You do not have to be a patient of Flourish Health to join the detox. If you do participate, the cost of the course (minus cost of detox product) will be applied to the onboarding cost of becoming a patient of Flourish ​if you decide to enroll within 30 days of completing the detox. 

Benefits

A detox is a great way to decrease your toxin load and start fresh.  A few benefits of a detox include:
  • Weight loss (more permanent because we are removing toxins from the fat cells)
  • Less achy
  • Skin improved
  • Cravings go away for sugar and other processed foods
  • Sleeping better
  • Gut function improves
  • Remove allergens as well as processed foods, which allows the gut to heal which further enhances our natural detoxification

The following are lab results of some of my patients where we drew labs before and after they went through the 10-day detox followed by whole 30.

What it Is

This 10-day detox and the program includes:
  • Metagenics Clear Change 10-day detox kit: Shake, supplement, shaker cup and instruction (Retail $143.40)
  • 1 hour zoom group visit January 19 @ 7:30 PM: Educational session covering information about toxins and detoxing in general as well as tips for the detox.  
  • A private facebook page for those in the detox group to share struggles, successes, recipes and more.
  • 1 hour zoom group visit part way through the detox January 26 @ 7:30 PM: This meeting will be a check-in as well as information on various food plans to consider moving forward
  • 1 hour zoom group visit after the detox to continue support as well as Q/A. February 9 @ 7:30 PM: We will also discuss ways to continue to cut toxins in the environment

Why it works

 There are many reasons a program like this works.  
  • We can wrap our brains around doing something for 10 days - so the restrictions work
  • It helps get rid of toxins which naturally sheds fat cells/weight
  • It provides the menu to make it easier to plan for
  • By the end, the body craves the better food choices and many cravings are gone - which allows us to transition onto a better food plan like Whole 30, Paleo or keto.  
  • It levels off blood sugars which makes us feel better, have less crashes and much less cravings. 

Ways to Increase Success

  • Plan ahead. 
    • Pick a time where you have 10 days without activities that would  that would sabotage the 10 days (travel, eating out, etc. )
    • Plan the food menu and shopping ahead of time
    • Potentially hide any foods that could throw you off track
  • Start cutting caffeine now.  It is ideal to be off caffeine for the 10 days - but you should at minimum be down to 1 daily.  
  • Start cutting alcohol down if this would be difficult to avoid for 10 days.
